Wayne County Sheriff's officers are investigating a robbery that occurred on Rosewood Road this morning. Sherri Beasley, 57, of Goldsboro, was assaulted as she arrived at work and robbed of her purse.
The robbers reportedly were driving an older model Ford Mustang or Pontiac Grand Am because it had a spoiler on the rear.
She was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital emergency room for treatment. The extent of her injuries were unknown at presstime. However, they were not considered life threatening, officers said.
