MOUNT OLIVE -- Dr. Dan Gall, environmental science coordinator and associate professor of geology and archaeology at Mount Olive College, will lecture on "Isla Magdalena" on April 12 at 12:30 p.m.
The title refers to fieldwork Gall did off the southwest coast of California Baja del Sur, Mexico, where he worked and lived with the fishermen searching for outcrops of jadeite and serpentine, as well as evidence of prehistoric mining activity searching ancient natives.
The lecture is part of a series of international lectures being presented by the college faculty. It will be held in the Murphy Regional Center.
