Martin Lecture Thursday on environment

MOUNT OLIVE -- Dr. Robert Ian Bruck, professor at North Carolina State University, will be the guest lecturer at the 15th Annual Lorelle F. Martin Lecture at Mount Olive College on Thursdayat 7:30 p.m. in the Southern Bank Auditorium of Raper Hall.
The theme for the lecture is "Environmental Challenges of the 21st Century."
The event, sponsored by the College's Department of Science and Mathematics, is free and open to the public.
Bruck is a professor of plant pathology, forestry, environmental science and environmental technology and director of the environmental technology program at N.C. State.
The Martin Lecture was established by Dr. E. Lee Glover of Everett, Pa., as a tribute to his former teacher. Mrs. Martin served for 30 years as chairman of the Department of Science and Mathematics at Mount Olive College before retiring in 1987.
