Investigations

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Somebody broke into a church and rummaged through its filing cabinets some time after 10 p.m. Tuesday. A member came to the Holly Street Miracle Deliverance Church at 115 W. Holly St. around 7:15 Wednesday after the alarm sounded. Nothing was reported missing.

*Identity theft victim Kimberly Armstrong of Harris Street told police two credit card companies called her to verify information on accounts opened by somebody who used her last name and her address and phone number.

*Shepherd Electric Supply Company at 801 S. George St. reported the theft of $400 worth of copper wire. The five reels of copper insulated wire were last secured around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Thieves entered the fenced area to the business and an unlocked cargo truck.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:

*Somebody used Kristina Wellington's debit card to withdraw $100 from her bank some time after March 9. She discovered the offense at 11 p.m. Monday. She said she thinks somebody took the card from her home on Ward Drive in Dudley.

*Renatta Graham of Quaker Drive said somebody did about $1,000 worth of damage to her 1999 Ford Expedition by pouring sugar into her gas tank.
