Crime of the Week
Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office are seeking information about a home break-in that occurred in the 700 block of Mills Road, Mount Olive between 7:20 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Feb. 21. Thieves broke in through the back door and stole a desktop computer, several firearms, a microwave oven, jewelry and other items. Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Police responded to a stabbing about 3:45 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 800 block of Crawford Street. Alonzo Conner, 36, of Slocumb Street, told police he had been stabbed several times. He was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. It was unclear at presstime where the stabbing took place or who committed the crime. His medical condition was also unavailable.
