Members of the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad collared 10 people during two raids conducted this month in response to numerous citizen complaints.

Agents raided 209 E. Elm St. Tuesday and found unspecified quantities of crack cocaine and ecstasy and four men believed to be selling the items, officials said.

"This was a residence we were having complaints on," said Lt. Tom Effler, the drug squad's co-commander. "We were able to do an investigation, develop probable cause and execute a search on it."

Agents arrested resident Quentin Moses, 36; Tavaris Ray Best, 30, of John Court; Kendrick Earl Thompson, 33, of North Carolina Street; and Cornelius Troublefield, 37, of West Seymour Drive on various charges including possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and ecstasy.

Agents also arrested Antonio Kelvin McClean, 22, of Central Heights Road and Calvetti Yashon Johnson, 33, of East Elm Street during Tuesday's house raid on unrelated charges.

The raid comes on the heels of another conducted this month at 811-A N. Center St. Agents found marijuana and cocaine and collared four people including resident James Antione Williams, 25; Kevin Devon Hines, 35, of Frank Street; Kevin James, 18, of North George Street; and Justin Bell, 25, of Lamm Drive, on various drug charges.

"No money was found inside the apartment, but we did seize drugs," Drug Commander Capt. Brady Thompson said. "We seized maybe a gram of cocaine from one of the suspects and two of them had a dime bag of marijuana in their pockets."
