The film version of "Walking Across Egypt" will again be shown free to the public at the Wayne County Public Library on Ash Street.
The film was shown Feb. 18, but popular demand prompted organizers to give the community another chance to see it. The 110-minute movie will be shown in the library auditorium on Sunday, March 4, at 1:30 p.m.
In conjunction with this year's project, area students were invited to submit photographs depicting Wayne County. The theme was "This I See." Their work will be on display at the Arts Council March 1- 5. Regular hours at the Arts Council are weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Participating schools include Charles B. Aycock, Eastern Wayne, Rosewood, Wayne Country Day high schools and Mount Olive College.
The final event for the year will be a "Good for the Soul" reception on Monday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at the Arts Council. There will be vocal and dance performance and a sing-along with hymns from the book and Southern dishes featured in the book.
