MOUNT OLIVE -- The experiences of seven Mount Olive College students' study-abroad trip to France will be discussed during a seminar on France on Monday at 8 p.m. Rodgers Chapel.

Along with their professors, the group stayed in the heart of France to experience life like the natives. During the seminar, personal stories and slide shows will be shared, as well as information about the next trip being planned.

Sarah Finch, a senior, described her experiences abroad as one she will never forget.

"I was awestruck by the sheer magnitude and fame of the touristy attractions," she said. "But what caught my eyes, my senses, and most of all my heart, were those little treasures that are not in any tour guide book. I enjoyed the undiscovered things that, in a way, make up what is France.

"What a wealth of beauty was just waiting for me to find it. A new world was opened up to me and I spent a dazzling few weeks making memories and experiencing Paris."

Organizers of the next trip, planned for July 16-31, said it will include stops in Paris, Burgundy, Dijon and other sites. The 16-day program will focus on French language, culture and history.
