Jerry West was one of about 20 residents who addressed the Wayne County Board of Commissioners Tuesday morning pleading for a stoplight at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Beston Road. Construction crews are building a directional crossover that will prohibit a vehicle directly crossing the highway. Residents said the project will not improve safety and will cause more problems for people, farmers and businesses.
