Woman charged in robbery

A Goldsboro woman faces charges for allegedly robbing a 69-year-old man in his home late last month.
Melissa Irene Odom, 33, Spring Branch Road, was arrested Monday on one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, Wayne County sheriff's Detective Sgt. Bob Golimowski said.
According to reports, Ms. Odom allegedly went to the elderly man's home at about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 30 with another person and robbed him at gunpoint. Ms. Odom allegedly stole $69 in cash and other property and then fled from the home in the Stoney Creek community.
Ms. Odom was placed under a $30,000 unsecured bond. More arrests are pending, Golimowski said.
