Advertising 'Lunch and Learn' session Tuesday

Local business owners can learn the importance of effective advertising during the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce's Lunch and Learn seminar Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.
Bill Johnston, the general manager for Curtis Media Group East, will facilitate the event, which focuses on effective advertising by picking a the right medium and presenting a well written and produced message that reaches the target audience with frequency.
Some of the topics for discussion on Tuesday will include the purpose of advertising, identifying the target market and where to advertise.
Johnston is the former president of The ANSWERS! Co., an interactive software development company focused on the cable television industry.
He is also a graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications and Syracuse University and has more than 15 years of experience in broadcast sales.
Ham's Restaurant will be catering the event and attendees must pay a $10 fee for the seminar.
