Robbery charged
As a result of an investigation of a breaking and entering to a home on the 600 Block of Mill Road in the Village Of Walnut Creek, Sarina Lynette Thompson was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property. The initial investigation by the Walnut Creek Police Department expanded beyond Walnut Creek and authorities from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, Greene County Sheriff's Office, Pitt County Sheriff's Office, and Ayden Police Department worked together to charge Christopher Antonio Suggs and Sarina Lynette Thompson for break ins in each of those jurisdictions. A large of amount of jewelry and some firearms were taken from several of the homes. The Wayne County Sheriffs Office charges resulted from a theft that occurred in the Jordan Chapel community. That crime occurred in December 2006 where over $6,000 n property was taken.
The case is still under investigation and additional arrests and charges are expected.
Investigations
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:
*Vandals did $9,500 worth of damage to two school buses and seven walls at Brogden Middle School, 3761 U.S. 117 South Alternate. The damage, which was done with spray paint, was discovered Tuesday morning.
*Riley Vernon Anderson told investigators he was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon at his home on Stoney Creek Church Road. He said the suspecty pointed a pistol at him and took his wallet and a woman's purse. Value of the stolen items was estimated at $131.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Somebody stole a $300 television set and tore up the room at Best Value Inn, 701 U.S. 70 Bypass East Tuesday morning. Damage came to $600. An employee said damage was being done to Room 224, and upon inspection, the owner found broken pieces of furnishings and the television missing.
*Thieves took two laptop computers from the home of Denise Patterson Thomas at Stevens Place some time after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Ms. Thomas said the Dell and IBM lap tops were valued at a total of $2,500. She said she was at work when the break-in occurred. Entry was gained through an unlocked rear door.
Charges
The Goldsboro Police Department has charged these people:
*Christian Seth Sanders, 20, of Cashwell Drive, violation of a court order and carrying a concealed weapon, $12,500 bond.
*Prentice Deshon Best, 23, of North Slocumb Street, driving while license revoked and window tint violation, $1,000 bond.
*Martin Noel Greenfield, 21, of Old Grantham Road, failure to appear in court, $500 bond.
*Swahie Matik Garrett, 25, of the streets of Goldsboro, disorderly conduct. Bond $500.
*The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged Mark Daniel Stansell, 23, with breaking, entering and larceny and possession of stolen goods. Bond was set at $25,000.
