Whitesides joins MOC faculty

MOUNT OLIVE -- Carlette Whitesides has joined Mount Olive College as the director of the Teaching and Learning Center.
She received her bachelor's degree in religion and philosophy from Columbia College in South Carolina and her master's degree from the University of South Carolina. She is also a certified grant writer.
Mrs. Whitesides previously worked as an instructor in higher education and as the Learning Center Coordinator for Paradox Consulting in South Carolina. Most recently, she served as executive director for Communities in Schools of Clarendon County.
In her new position, her responsibilities will include mentoring, offering disability services and supervising tutoring sessions.
She is married to the Rev. Michael Whitesides, pastor of Bear Marsh Baptist Church.
