The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating these incidents:
*Brittany Shakara Lewis told police that someone struck her in the face Thursday. She told police she knew her assailant.
*Jimmy Vernon, at Myco Supply at 611 West Ash Street, told police Thursday that an unknown person used a fake $20 bill to make a purchase. He did not know what was bought with the counterfeit money or when exactly it occurred.
