One of the suspects in a drive-by shooting last Saturday that left a 34-year-old Dudley man dead and four others injured was arrested late Wednesday at an apartment complex in Or-lando, Fla., local autho-rities said.

Marco Antonio Flores, 19, is being held until he can be extradited back to Wayne County, where he will be charged with murder, Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders said.

Flores is the second person arrested in connection with Saturday's shooting at the Durham Lake Clubhouse in Dudley. Armando Laredo, 18, of Eagles Nest Road, Dudley, was captured Sunday and charged with murder. Authorities believe he was the getaway driver after the shooting occurred.

According to eyewitness accounts in a Sheriff's Office report, a group of uninvited Surenas 13 gang members arrived during a 1-year-old child's birthday party. One of them allegedly struck one of 34-year-old Arturo Acevedo Trejo's children on the top of the head. After Trejo asked the gang member why he hit his child, words were exchanged and a fistfight broke out, the report continued. Several people joined in and threw the gang members out of the party.

About an hour later, some of the gang members returned in a red Hyundai allegedly driven by Laredo. Authorities said they believe Flores was armed with a semi-automatic rifle and fired several shots into the clubhouse where adults, children and infants were enjoying the party.

Deputies found 15 shell casings on the highway outside the building, possibly from a .223-caliber gun. Inside the clubhouse, Amado Trejo Acevedo, 37, Deago Ramos, 24, Adriana Hernandez Moran, 22, and 6-year-old Jocelyn Trejo Ramirez were injured from the shooting. None of their injuries were life-threatening, but Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies are still searching for two other members of the Surenas 13 gang only known as "Scrappy" and "Goofy" for their possible roles in the shooting. The two were believed to be living in the Dudley area.

A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of Maria Margarita Reyes Flores for accessory after the fact of a felony. Deputies think she helped her brother, Marco Antonio Flores, escape North Carolina.

Winders said the investigation is still ongoing and other arrests are anticipated, but the Wayne County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in making any other arrests. Anyone with information concerning Saturday's shooting should call Sheriff's Detective Sgt. R. Thomas Flores at 731-1482 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
