Wayne County sheriff's deputies cast a wider net Monday hoping to catch two men who allegedly gunned down a 34-year-old Dudley man and injured four others during a drive-by shooting late Saturday.

However, the search continues for Venancio Martinez, 17, and Antonio Orterzo, age unknown.

Both men are being sought for their part in a drive-by shooting at Durham Lake Clubhouse Saturday that killed Arturo Acevedo, and injured Amado Trejo Acevedo, 37, Deago Ramos, 24, Adriana Hernandez Moran, 22, and Jocelyn Trejo Ramirez, 6.

None of the other injuries were life-threatening.

Armando Laredo, 18, of Eagles Nest Road, Dudley, who was also implicated in the shootings, was captured Sunday. The alleged getaway car, a 1998 Hyundai, was also confiscated.

Several men opened fire on the clubhouse while friends and family gathered to celebrate a 1-year-old child's birthday. A fight between Laredo and some others broke out in the club and officials believed he and some friends came back later to retaliate.

A total of 15 shell casings from a .223 S/A rifle were found at the scene Saturday.

Both of the suspects sought are Hispanic men. Martinez stands about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 to 150 pounds. Orterzo is about 16 to 20 years of age. He stands about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 to 150 pounds.

The men might be armed with a .223 S/A rifle. Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff's Detective Sgt. R. Thomas Flores at 731-1481 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
