Missing

Crystal Hoeper

A Walnut Creek teenager has been reported missing.

Crystal "Chris" Hoeper was reported missing by her family from her home in the 100 Block of Deerborn Drive

She was last seen at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, law enforcement officers said.

She has been without needed medication and her family has expressed deep concern over the fact that she has not been receiving her medication.

She is described as 17, about 5-feet-5 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with sandy blonde hair. Authorities believe she is in the Goldsboro area. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Walnut Creek Police Department at 778-9991 or county authorities at 731-1400.

Investigations

Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*Arthur Ray Turnage reported Tuesday that someone stole a four-wheeler and a chainsaw, all valued at $6,375, from his home in the 2400 block of N.C. 55 West, Mount Olive.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Nicholas D. Gwatney II reported he went to a home in the 1000 block of Sixth Street about 2 a.m. Wednesday to retrieve money from someone who owed him money. He told police he brought a deer rifle and a .25-caliber automatic pistol, valued at $1,200, for protection. Gwatney knocked on the door and went inside and an untold number of black men attacked him and took the weapons. No serious injuries were reported. Gwatney could not provide a description of his attackers.
