Vandals struck at the Wayne County health director's home this week, leaving several thousands of dollars in damage in their wake.
Wayne County sheriff's deputies responded to Dr. James Roosen's home in the 100 block of Jacobs Ridge Road early Tuesday.
Chief Detective Capt. George Raecher said someone keyed or scratched three of Roosen's vehicles, bent the windshield wipers back on all vehicles, slashed vehicle tires, damaged three seats on his John boat and broke a ceramic flower pot. Deputies also found sugar around the gas tanks of two vehicles.
The incident happened sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, Roosen told authorities.
Roosen estimated the damage at about $6,000.
