The Wayne County Public Library has purchased several online resources to better assist patrons in finding the research material they need.
The online databases published by Thomson Gale are available 24 hours a day and require only a library card to use. Library officials say the databases offer a staggering amount of content, are easy to navigate and offer users many ways to find what they are looking for.
The Biography Resource Center allows patrons to find biographical material, magazine articles and other websites.
Gale Virtual Reference Library has numerous online books about various topics.
Literature Resource Center allows researchers to find literary criticisms for numerous works. The database is searchable by title of work, author's name or both.
Opposing Viewpoints Re-source Center is a valuable asset when conducting re-search on controversial issues.
To access any of these electronic resources, patrons only need a library card and access to the Internet. Go to www.wcpl.org and click on the "Electronic Resources" icon. Users must provide a card number after clicking on the name of the database they wish to use.
