The Hispanic Community Development Center's Three Kings Day Festival held on Jan. 6 at Waynesborough Historic Village will appear today at 7:30 p.m. on the University of North Carolina's Public Broadcast System television station.

Organizers said more than 250 people attended the festival at any given time and estimated that the crowd was more than 400 strong throughout the day. The event commemorates the Wise Men's visit to Bethlehem.

The Hispanic Community Development Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that responds to the needs of Hispanic people in Wayne and surrounding counties by providing free information about changes in immigration laws and local laws.

The center provides information about medical and dental clinics. Volunteers tutor Hispanic parents in English so they can have a better understanding of the school system and help their children with home work.

The center also provides guidance and counseling on drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence.
