Police looking for shooting suspect

Goldsboro police are searching for a man who allegedly opened fire on an unsuspecting driver, striking him once in the face.
Police identified Antron Demon Hines, 22, of Olivia Lane, as the suspect who shot and injured 22-year-old Robert Lee Mitchell II of South Kornegay Street Jan. 5.

Hines is being sought on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and firing into an occupied property, and police are asking for the public's help to apprehend the suspect.
Investigators have determined that Mitchell was driving north, not south, in the 500 block of Slocumb Street in his green 1993 Ford Explorer about 1:45 p.m. when the suspect allegedly fired at him.
At least one bullet from a large caliber weapon pierced the driver's side of the front windshield and struck Mitchell in the face.
Mitchell then allegedly drove to his home on South Kornegay Street and called for help.
He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
