Breakfast will mark holiday for Dr. MLK Jr.

The City of Goldsboro and Wayne County will be host to the 19th annual observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with a breakfast program Monday, Jan. 15.
The breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. at the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly building at 211 W. Hooks River Road.
Entertainment will be provided by the Goldsboro High School Drama and Cultural Arts Department. Students will perform a drama written to portray what King might say to Americans today, nearly 40 years after his death.
The public is invited to join Goldsboro Mayor Al King, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners, the Wayne Board of Education and other officials for the remembrance program.
