Store robbery
Three suspects entered El Tiangui's, a store on the 1400 block of N.C. 111, at about 7:45 p.m. Friday and committed robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny, according to a Wayne County sheriff's deputy report. Employee Livier Hernandez, 27, said one of the suspects, described as a Hispanic man in his 30s who stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, removed a pump-action shotgun from his coat and demanded money. Ms. Hernandez gave the suspect $1,000 in cash. The suspect also left with a cell phone valued at $50 and the store's key. The suspect wielding the shotgun left the store with the two other suspects, described as Hispanic men aged 18 and 25, and entered a small, two-door black car and headed south on N.C. 111.
