CBA queen to be part of bowl festivities

Kenna Reid, Charles B. Aycock High School's Homecoming Queen, will be representing North Carolina in the 2006 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The 48th annual Liberty Bowl is the seventh-oldest college football bowl game and will take place on Dec. 29 at 3:30 p.m., pitting the Southeastern Conference's University of Houston against Conference USA's South Carolina Gamecocks.

Miss Reid is the only homecoming queen from North Carolina invited to participate in the festivities. She will be a part of the patriotic pre-game show and the halftime performance by Grammy Award Winner LeAnn Rimes.

A student leader at CBA, Kenna is involved in numerous student organizations including Aycock Ambassadors, Photography Club, National Honor Society, Science Club, FCCLA Club, HOSA, DECA, Peer Mediator. She also volunteers with the jayvee and varsity basketball programs as a statistician.
