Hit and run

Goldsboro police are looking for a female driver who allegedly struck and injured a teen on Ash and Slocumb streets and fled from the area Sunday.

Jamar Harper, 18, of Woodrow St., was traveling north on Slocumb Street on his bicycle at 4:45 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Ash. The driver stopped, got out and yelled something to the injured bicyclist and then drove off, a witness told police.

The driver was described as a black woman driving in a gray Honda. She reportedly had a North Carolina license plate with PSE3800, police said. Harper was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital by ambulance, where he was treated and released.
