Investigations

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating these reports:

*A Goldsboro man accused of robbing the Jameson Inn hotel at gunpoint with another man Dec. 5 is now in custody.

Dequan Terrell McLamb, 20, of Koonce Street, who was wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the incident, turned himself into the Goldsboro Police Department at about 10 a.m. Thursday.

The charge stems from an allegation McLamb participated in an armed robbery at Jameson Inn on South Harding Drive. The Jameson Inn is an Atlanta-based hotel chain that caters to business travelers.

A female employee reported two men entered the Jameson Inn at about 8 p.m. while she was sitting at the computer. One of the men put a gun to her head and told her she was being robbed. The other man pulled her out of her chair and took her to an office door.

One of the suspect's retrieved the keys that were lying beside the computer, opened the office door and grabbed the money.

One of the suspect's ordered the employee to get a plastic bag to carry the money in. The suspects then ran through the back door of the hotel with the stolen cash. While departing, the robbers told the employee to call the police.
McLamb was being held at the Wayne County Jail on a $30,000 bond. The second armed robber suspect is still being sought.
