Goldsboro police have zeroed in on one of two suspects who allegedly robbed the Jameson Inn at gunpoint Tuesday and got away with $300.

Dequan Terrell McLamb, 20, of 2203 Koonce St., Apartment-D, his last known address, is being sought on a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon, Investigator Doug Bethea said.

The charge stems from an allegation McLamb participated in an armed robbery at Jameson Inn on South Harding Drive. The Jameson Inn is an Atlanta-based hotel chain that caters to business travelers.

Rinika Christina McLaurin reported two men entered the Jameson Inn at about 8 p.m. while she was sitting at the computer. One of the men put a gun to Ms. McLaurin's head and told her she was being robbed. The other man pulled her out of her chair and took her to an office door.

One of the suspect's retrieved the keys that were lying beside the computer, opened the office door and grabbed the money.

One of the suspect's ordered Ms. McLaurin to get him a plastic bag to carry the money in. The suspects then ran through the back door of the hotel with the stolen cash. While departing, the robbers told Ms. McLaurin to call the police.

"The subjects left the area going toward the highway," Bethea said.

Anyone with information about McLamb's whereabouts is asked to call Bethea at 580-4214 or Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.

Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest.
