Boy injured in fall from float

MOUNT OLIVE -- An 11-year-old Wayne County boy was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital on Saturday after he fell from a float at the town Christmas parade and injured his leg.
Mount Olive Police Department Maj. Ralph Schroeder said the boy suffered injuries when, after falling, his leg was run over by the float's tire.
The name of the child and his condition at Wayne Memorial were not available by press time. Schroeder said the incident report will be finalized and accessible late Monday afternoon.
