Recovered rifle
While repossessing a vehicle on Berkeley Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Thursday, Allen Turbeville of A & T Towing and Recovery discovered an SKS semi-automatic rifle in the back seat of the car. Goldsboro police didn't describe the vehicle, but the rifle was reported as stolen by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Stolen trailers
More than $2,500 in trailer equipment was stolen from Leonard's on the 4200 block of U.S. 70 East some time between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Friday. Employees reported to the Goldsboro Police Department that a 2007 Trakker 6-foot by 12-foot black cargo trailer valued at $3,295, an $1,100 5-foot by 10-foot black trailer, $130 worth of trailer locks and $40 worth of steel bars and cables were stolen from the business during the holidays.
Stolen money
A Wilco Hess convenience store employee told Goldsboro police officers that $3,306 was stolen from the store between 5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 10 a.m. Monday. The convenience store, located on the 400 block of East New Hope Road, usually deposits its cash at a local bank but one deposit was not made, the report said.

*Charles Ray Kornegay, 48, S. Herman St., driving while license revoked, 60 days to serve.
*Randolph Croom, 42, S. Berkeley Boulevard, driving while intoxicated, Level 1, two years, 36 months probation, $1,272.50 fine and court costs.
