A naked man was spotted walking near N.C. 111 South near the Food Lion supermarket on Thursday afternoon. The man told Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that his name was Jesus Christ and that he was walking to Selma for Jesus. The man was apparently disoriented after failing to take his medication, officials said. No charges were filed and deputies returned the man to his home.

Goldsboro police are searching for three men who robbed the Family Dollar store on New Hope Road at gunpoint about 7 p.m. Friday. According to reports, three black men walked into the store, approached the cashiers and demanded money. After taking money, the suspects then ran from the store, jumped in a gray Dodge Stratus and took off heading west.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Goldsboro-Wayne Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.

Accidents

*Titania Parker was cited for exceeding safe speed after she lost control of her vehicle on Slocumb Street and crashed into traffic sign and utility pole Thursday morning. Parker was trapped inside of her vehicle after the one-vehicle crash that occurred about 3:41 a.m. and had to be extricated. Parker, 32, of Boxwood Lane, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

*Ryan Allen Merritt was injured in an accident on Wayne Memorial Drive and Seventh Street about 6 p.m. Saturday. Merritt, the driver of a motorcycle, was traveling south on Wayne Memorial Drive when he was involved in an accident with Rex Coley Jr., 51, the driver of a moped. Merritt, 27, of Forest Circle, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. Coley, 51, of Banks Avenue, was cited for improper lane change. He was later charged with driving while intoxicated. His bond was set at $600. Damage was set at $3,300.

*Keith Antonio Phillips Jr. , was injured in anaccident while driving a scooter on Jackson Street and Park Avenue about 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Ricardo Meza Santos, the driver of a vehicle, was charged with improper passing. Damage was set at $2,000.
