Health fair at Jefferson United Methodist Church

A health fair will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson United Methodist Church at 1100 N. Jefferson Ave.
Maxim Health Care will give flu shots at no cost for those with Medicare, North Carolina Blue Cross Blue Shield or Aetna Insurance. Pneumonia shots will also be given at no cost for those with Medicare.
There will be free basic health screenings including blood pressure, blood glucose, weight, height and body mass index provided by Goshen Medical Center.
Pitt County Hearing will peform hearing screenings.
Educational tables will be set up with information on Wayne County Services on Aging, American Red Cross, Respacare, Community Home Care and Hospice, Wayne County Extension and Community Association, Family Y and more.
