Farm Service Agency balloting through Dec. 4

Farmers in the Fork, Buck Swamp, Great Swamp, Nahunta and Pikeville townships of Wayne County are urged to cast their ballots in the Farm Service Agency Committee elections being held through Dec. 4.
The townships make up Local Administrative Area 2.
Committee members play an important role by making decisions on price support loans and payments, conservation and disaster programs and other issues important to farmers. To be eligible, farmers must participate or cooperate in FSA programs.
Eligible voters who do not receive ballots in the mail in the coming week can obtain a ballot at the local USDA Service Center.
The deadline for submitted ballots is Dec. 4. New committee members take office Jan. 1.
