The Goldsboro Veterans Day parade route on Saturday will still give residents an opportunity to pay their respects to America's service men and women, but the parade will have a new route this year.
The parade has traditionally begun at the intersection of Center and Pine streets, travel north on Center, turned around at the intersection of Center and Ash streets and ended back at the intersection of Pine and Center streets.
But this year the parade route will turn right at Walnut Street after it circles around the intersection of Center and Ash streets. From Walnut Street, the parade route will turn left onto James Street and take another left turn onto Spruce Street. The parade route will then turn from Spruce Street back to Center, where the parade will end.
The parade starts at 11 a.m.
