An unknown assailant opened fire on two men during an argument in the parking lot of a Goldsboro business Monday evening.
Jamie Ramon Carroll, 27, of Dorsey Street, and Randy John Suber, 26, Hamilton Drive, were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment, shortly after they were injured in the shooting.
The two men were shot while standing in the parking lot of Moe's Neighborhood Grill and Convenient store at 1003 S. John Street, Goldsboro police spokesman Sgt. David Kelly said.
The gunwielding suspect then left from the scene. He is now being sought by authorities.
Units of the Goldsboro Fire Department, Wayne County Emergency Medical Services and Goldsboro police responded to the incident about 6:30 p.m. to render aid to the victims.
Carroll was listed in good condition and Suber was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Police department officials refused to release any more information regarding the shooting including details of the crime, a description of a suspect or any further information about the location of the incident.
The incident is still under investigation, Kelly added.
