The case of a Goldsboro man accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing at least two mentally ill women is expected to be heard at the Wayne County Courthouse today.

The case of Rodney Levon Williams is set for 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 3.

Williams, 35, of Frank Street, faces felony kidnapping and assault by strangulation charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of at least two mentally incapacitated women, according to court records.

The sexual abuse case was launched against Williams Oct. 10 after Goldsboro Police Department Investigator Paige Learnard received a complaint regarding the possible sexual assault of an adult female.

After investigating the matter, Williams was charged with assault inflicting serious bodily injury by strangulation Oct. 10 and placed in the Wayne County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Further investigation revealed other victims, Learnard said. Learnard levied additional charges against Williams on Thursday.

All told, Williams now faces two counts of second-degree forcible sexual offense, two counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury by strangulation.

Details including how Williams came in contact with the women were unavailable by presstime. Williams was being held in the Wayne County Jail on a $450,000 bond.
