Shorty Manning, aided by his guitar, belts out his rendition of "The Ride" by David Allan Coe Wednesday during a rehearsal for Wayne's Most Talented singing competition. The show is patterned after "American Idol." Manning is just one of 20-plus singers who will deliver live performances 7 p.m. tonight at Wayne Community College auditorium on Wayne Memorial Drive. The cost is $5 and proceeds will benefit Goldsboro-Wayne Crime Stoppers.
