State highway employees work on repairing a section of U.S. 70 bypass west that collapsed from heavy rain that accompanied Tropical Storm Ernesto. Steve Davis, the Wayne County bridge maintenance supervisor, said today that work is on schedule and that if weather permits the road could be repaired in about another month.
