Investigations

Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating these reports:

*Tammy Pitt Croom reported Monday that someone broke into her home and stole an organ, $20 in quarters, a bass guitar, an amplifier, shoes, clothing and other items, totaling $2,725.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Paulette Nicole Champion reported Tuesday that someone fired a gunshot into the driver's side door of her vehicle, causing $200 in damage.

*Lashanda Shna Vick reported Tuesday that someone fired gunshots into her home damaging the window and microwave. Damages were estimated at $300.

*Billy Yates Edgerton reported Monday that someone stole saws, electric drills, cases of sodas and water and other items from a Habitat for Humanity construction site trailer on Stephen Street. Damages were estimated at $1,835.

Accidents

*Tequilla Monique Cox was cited for failure to reduce speed after her 1994 Nissan car crashed into a Wayne County school bus driven by Albert George Williams. Cox told police she sneezed causing her to be inattentive when she crashed into the school bus stopped at the railroad crossing on Ash Street. Cox suffered minor injuries. Damages were estimated at $300.

*Oscar Manuel Cohn was thrown from his motorcycle on Central Heights Road near Oak Forest Road. Cohn told police a car sideswiped him causing him to lose control. However, police found no evidence of another vehicle at the scene. Cohn suffered minor injuries. Damages were estimated at $4,000.

*Tiffany Meria Booker, 22, of South Claiborne Street, the driver of a 2005 Honda, was cited for a safe movement violation after she collided into 1989 Chevrolet pickup driven by Walter William Smith, 66, of Tommy's Road. Smith was traveling north on Wayne Memorial Drive when Booker pulled out in front of him and the two collided at 9:41 near CVS pharmacy on Lockhaven Drive. Police said Booker failed to yield. Booker and her passenger, Jennifer Torsell, and Smith were injured. All were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital.

*Larry Wayne Coker was seriously injured when he lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet while traveling at a high rate of speed on LaGrange Road. His vehicle struck an embankment, flipped several times and landed in a horse pasture, highway patrol officials said. Coker was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital. Damages were estimated at $8,000.

*Shirl Lynn Kukendoll was ejected from her 2000 Chevrolet when she lost control while traveling on south on U.S. 13 and struck an embankment. Kukendoll's vehicle was traveling at 60 mph at the time of impact. Kukendoll was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital. Damages were estimated at $8,000.
