Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*A 1-year-old child was injured when a vehicle allegedly struck backed overhim and struck his head. Ra-Shon Emmanuel Hines of North Carolina Street was treated and released at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Larry Donald Simmons, 53, of Florida Street, was cited for driving while his license was revoked. Simmon denied driving the pickup truck that allegedly backed over the boy about 5 p.m Monday on Swan Street.

*Ashley Garrett Lee told Goldsboro police that two men put a knife to his neck at a business on William Street Saturday afternoon and snatched his necklace and charm, valued at $570.

One suspect, identified as Jeffrey Bryant, 33, of Goldsboro, was charged with armed robbery and assault on government officer in connection with the case. He was being held at the Wayne County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
