Investigations
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating these reports:
*Ronrico Montrell Ayers told police someone stole his 2000 Nissan Altima valued at $7,000 fromhis home on Hopkins Street.
*Community Federal Credit Union at 2401 E. Ash., St., reported Friday that a man and woman wrote several checks from their business account totaling $4,691.77 and deposited them into their personal savings account. The money was then withdrawn from the savings account in the form of cash. At this time, the bank officials have reported that six checks returned for insufficient funds.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:
*Deputies recovered a $5,000 stolen truck in a corn field on Black Creek Road near Fremont. They notified the owner, Ell Durham Jr. of Stantonsburg, that her 1994 Ford Ranger had been found. An area farmer spotted the truck and called 911.
*Vandals did more than $3,000 worth of damage to an abandoned rental house on York Drive and stole a ceiling fan. Owner Joanna Blair of Surf City said several doors and six mirrors were damaged, along with an air vent, the carpet, the phone line, seven windows and a refrigerator.
*George Williams Stevens of N.C. 581 north told investigators somebody stole a cast iron table and three chairs valued at $3,000 from his deck. He said the theft occurred some time between Thursday and Friday afternoon.
*Investigators were called to a suspicious fire in an abandoned wood frame house on James Hinson road around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The house was owned by Henry Walter Stevens of Stevens Mill Road. The report came in from a neighbor who said she noticed the fire when she went to the kitchen to get something to drink. Fire Chief Delbert Edwards told investigators the fire appeared suspicious because no power was going to the house.

*Frances Barnes Godwin, 43, Kelway Drive, possession of drug paraphernalia, 45 days suspended, 12 months probation (appealed).
*Calvin Dexter Horne, 45, Brazil Street, shoplifting, 10 days suspended, nine months probation, 90 days community service, $160 fine and court costs.
*David E. Irish, 60, homeless, breaking and entering, 6 days active, credit for time served.
*Darry Rene Suncin, 24, E. Center Street, Mount Olive, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, 75 suspended, 12 months probation, $21 0 fine and court costs, $200 restitution.
*Michael Bradley Taylor, 19, Hollandwell Drive, obtaining property by false pretense, 45 days suspended, 12 months probation, $360 fine and court costs, $1,587.98 restitution.
*Irvin C. Toomer, 53, Fairview Circle, second-degree trespassing, four days suspended.
*Marylinda Hutchinson, 57, Glen Oak Drive, driving while impaired, 60 days suspended, 12 months probation, surrender driver's license, 126 hours community service, $210 fine and court costs.
*Michael D. Smith, 22, Gertrude Grady Drive, driving while impaired, 120 days suspended, 18 months probation, surrender driver's license, 48 hours community service, $260 fine and court costs.
*Brian Davis, 18, Little Dove Road, Pikeville, possession of drug paraphernalia, 45 days suspended.

*David Wakumba Simon, 27, Airline Place, possession of stolen goods, guilty, 11 to 14 months to serve, credit for time served, $870.50 court costs.
*Demarlo Tvon Kornegay, 20, E. Kornegay Street, possession of firearm by convicted felon (two counts), 10 to 12 months to serve, $845 attorney fees, $390.50 fine and court costs.
*John Nebo, 34, Charles Street, assault government employee, 30 days active, 45 days suspended, 24 months probation, $792.50 fine and court costs (appealed).
*James Thomas Goodman, 20, Mount Airy Road, possession of cocaine and probation violation, five to six months to serve, complete drug treatment program.
*Corea Sheleto Pearsall, 28, Creech Street, possession of drug paraphernalia, 120 days to serve.
*Jarred Dean Tucker, 25, Summerlins Cross Road, Mount Olive, driving while impaired, 60 days suspended, 12 months probation, $220 fine and court costs, $200 restitution (appealed).
*Ronnie Nathan Soles, 19, Courtyard Circle, receiving stolen goods, possession of stolen property, dismissed.
*Brenda Mullins, 47, Randall Lane, solicit for prostitution (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts), 120 days suspended (appealed).
*Katrina Shonte Boseman, 20, Wilmington Avenue, shoplifting, 15 days suspended, credit for time served, 18 months probation, $160 fine and court costs.
*Kevin T. Barksdale, 17, E. Ash Street, larceny, six to eight months to serve, 36 months supervised probation, $855.50 costs, $2,894.98 restitution.
*Latique Lamont Vick, 20, homeless, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute Schedule VI controlled substance, six to eight months suspended, 24 months probation, $1,395.50 fine and court costs.
*Timothy Wright, 28, Clinton Drive, Dudley, larceny, 45 days suspended, credit for time served, 12 months probation, $420 fine and court costs, $200 restitution.
*Donshea Marquyl Phillips, 22, Courtyard Circle, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and distribute, six to eight months to serve, 24 months probation, $670.50 costs.
