Flu, pneumonia shots available at The Pines

Maxim Health Systems is teaming with The Pines of Goldsboro Assisted Living to offer immunizations to people who are at high risk of developing complications from the flu and people who live or work with high-risk individuals.
The clinics will be held Tuesday, Oct. 3 and Monday, Oct. 9 at The Pines at 380 Country Day Road.
The Pines is a member of Emeritus Corp. Emeritus facilities nationwide will receive the first supplies of flu vaccinations provided by Maxim Health Systems.
The shots will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Any participant with Medicare Part B coverage will receive their shot at no cost.
Maxim also will provide free immunization to anyone covered by Maxim contracted Managed Care Plans. If you are a participant, you will be notified by your health plan.
All others not covered by the plans above can purchase their vaccinations through Maxim at the time of the inoculations.
Prices are $25 for flu shots and $40 for pneumonia shots.
