County seniors can travel to see fall color

Wayne County Services on Aging is inviting seniors to sign up for the three-night Autumn Mountain Escape next month.

The trip, scheduled for Oct. 25-28, is for three nights of lodging at the Cherokee Indian Village and Museum for $405 per person. The price includes three continental breakfasts, one boxed lunch and three dinners including the Carolina Lights dinner show.

Travelers will also enjoy a Great Smoky Mountain railroad ride, a trip to the Museum of Cherokee Indians, a tour of Chimney Rock Park and a twilight cruise of Lake Lure.
