Investigations

These reports are being investigated by Wayne County law enforcement:

*Billy Ray Pope told Goldsboro police that an $800 scooter and $120 raincoat were stolen from his home on Park Avenue. Pope later found the scooter behind Wayco Hams on William Street.

*Employees at Breakers No. 2 on Berkeley Boulevard reported the theft of gasoline of $42 in gasoline Saturday. According to officials from the store, a white man driving a white station wagon drove off without paying.

*Goldsboro police officers received a report that someone has broken into the Paradise Super Flea Market on William Street on Friday. The thief stole from many of the vending machines and damaged other goods, the report said. The total worth of goods taken and damaged was not reported as of Saturday.

*Employees at Wendy's on Berkeley Boulevard told law enforcement officers that on Friday a man in a white Ford Mustang attempted to pay for his meal with a fake $20 bill. When the employee told him it was not real money he asked for it back. When she refused to return it to him, he drove off.
