Planning board elects officers

The Wayne County Planning Board elected its chairman and vice chairman Tuesday night.
The board re-elected chairman Wayne Aycock and vice-chairman Chris Cox for the next year during the board's meeting at The Steak Barn.
Former members of the board were invited to the meeting to discuss the changes Wayne County has seen and the current board's plans for the future.
County Commissioner J.D. Evans, a former planning board member, joined other former and current board members for a slide show showing the progress of Wayne County in recent years.
The board approved a plat for Edgerton Farms Estates near the intersection of Fields and Nahunta roads.
