MOUNT OLIVE -- Scott Bircher, a Christian contemporary singer, will perform at Mount Olive College on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Rodgers Chapel. His performance will be sponsored by the campus activity board.
A native of Vanceboro, Bircher graduated from MOC with a degree in sports management. At age 20, Bircher joined several MOC graduates to form a local gospel group.
He later accepted a full-time singing position in a Christian music trio. He traveled around the United States from 1996 to 1998 ministering in more than 500 worship services as part of the Gaither Video Series. He also completed two solo projects.
Bircher recently released his third solo project, "All of My Love," joined by the Celebration of Life Choir from Nashville on the title cut. Bircher's CD's will be available during his performance at MOC and in the MOC bookstore.
"Mount Olive College will always have a special place in my heart," Bircher said.
The concert is free and open to the public.
