Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

Burglary

*Megan Davis reported at 2:28 p.m. Thursday that someone broke into her home on North Carolina Street. The suspect broke the glass out of her rear patio door to gain entry, stole a CD player and scratched her kitchen table chair. Total estimated damage was $385.

Burglary

*Henry Day reported at 4 p.m. Thursday that someone broke into his home on Boxwood Lane. The suspect broke the glass out of his rear window and stole a pump action shotgun, valued at $900.

Counterfeit money scam

*Tecorey Jamal Newsome, 19, of Sami Street, was charged Thursday with two counts of forgery and uttering a forged instrument. Officials say Newsome allegedly passed a fake $50 bill at Planet Bingo Aug. 14. Newsome allegedly committed the same act Aug. 23 when he passed a phony $100 bill at Andy's in Mar Mac. The investigation continued Thursday and more arrests are pending, Deputy Sgt. Rick Farfour said. Newsome was later arrested the same day for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was being held on a $10,000 fine.

Stolen parcels

*Three juveniles were charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods Thursday after a Mar Mac resident reported several packages delivered by United Parcel Service were stolen from her front porch, Deputy Sgt. Rick Farfour said.

Domestic dispute

*Matthew Alan Grady, 28, of Mills Road, was charged with assault on a child under 12, second-degree criminal trespassing and injury to personal property following an incident on Mill Loop Road at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Grady was accused of breaking the glass door to the home during a domestic dispute. Shards of glass fell and cut his 10-year-old nephew on the neck. The boy was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Grady was being held at the Wayne County Jail on $2,000 fine. He was later arrested the same day on an outstanding warrant for breaking and entering and larceny. He was being held on a $1,000 fine.

*Elizabeth Lesley Garcia, 17, N. Grantham Road, simple assault, $1,500 fine.

*Randy Arive Johnson, 22, Stanley Chapel Church Road, larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle, $500 fine.

*Christopher Ryan Newsome, 30, Parkstown Road, LaGrange, breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm, $30,000.

*Charles Edward Smith Jr., 19, Fox Drive, Dudley, driving on a revoked license, $500 fine.

*David Nathaniel Watson, 61, Church Street, Mount Olive, speeding and driving on a revoked license, $1,000 fine.

Drug arrests

*Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad agents conducted a drug sweep at 303 1/2 E. Elm St. During the sweep, Donte Maurice Gaines, 20, of 508 E. Walnut St., and Betty Simms, 39, of 120 Guinevere Lane, were detained Wednesday, officials said. Gaines was charged with possession of cocaine, officials said. Simms was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, obstructing and/or attempting to delay the arrest of a law enforcement officer, officials added.

Domestic dispute

*Reshanta Cox, 29, of 307 W. Holly St., was charged Thursday with assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Alonza Epps, 43, several times with a knife during a domestic dispute at their home. Epps received minor injuries. Cox was being held without bond at the Wayne County Jail.

*Joshua Vincent Eballar, 21, Chanute Road, domestic assault, no bond.

*Terry Devon Hall, 36, Eleventh Street, driving on a revoked license, contempt, $1,000 bond.

*Ernest Lee Gorham, 44, Fourth Street, assault on a female, $5,000 bond.

*Gwendolyn Michelle Bryant, 23, Hinston Street, driving on a revoked license, written promise.
