Northeast firefighters used a tractor and boats to remove families from low-lying areas along N.C. 41, east of Wallace, this morning. Wallace was hit with approximately 13 inches of rain. Firefighters planned to be on the scene along N.C. 41 and N.C. 11 all day Friday taking residents to safety
