Investigations

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Courtney Pigford, 20, Fairview Circle, told police that she had an argument with the father of her child. When she attempted to get into a vehicle, the man struck her in the face and back of the head and pulled off her wig. She was advised to secure a warrant.

*A 22-year-old man reported the theft of a $1,000 gold necklace and a $1,500 gold pendant with diamonds. Mario Javon Kornegay of E. Walnut Street told police his girlfriend pulled both items from his neck following an argument that began outside the courthouse. He said the woman followed him to his car, got into the back seat and began choking him before he stopped the vehicle and the fight continued.

*Gregory Ginevan, 34, of Dudley reported $700 worth of damage to his vehicle while it was parked on the 1200 block of Berkeley Blvd.

Accidents

Two accidents were reported by the highway patrol.

*On Monday at 5:20 p.m. on U.S. 117 near Mount Olive, Janet L. Swinson, 39, of Jean Street, Mount Olive stopped for traffic turning onto RP 1794 when another vehicle struck hers but left the scene before officers arrived. Damage to Ms. Swinson's vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

*At 9:05 p.m. Monday, Kim Douglas Willoughby, 42, of Princeton was traveling west on N.C. 222 near Fremont when he encountered a cow in the roadway. His vehicle struck the animal and came to rest on the eastbound side of the road. No charges were filed and damage to Willoughby's vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
