Missing persons

*The Goldsboro Police Department is searching for 13-year-old Bryan Murchinson, who has been classified as a missing person. Bryan was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Friday walking in the direction of Central Heights Road. He was described as a 5-foot-4-inch, 102 pound black boy with black hair and brown eyes. Bryan was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and white shoes. He also has a scar on his right arm.

*The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is looking for 15-year-old Belinda Crews, who is believed to have run away from home between noon on Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday. Miss Crews was described as a 5-foot-2-inch white girl weighing about 110 pounds. She has blond, shoulder-length hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and black sandals.

Equipment stolen

An unknown suspect broke into a 2000 red Chevrolet Cavalier some time between 7 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday stealing about $1,600 in items from the car. Morris Hall, 32, of Rose Drive, said his car was parked outside of his home when an unknown suspect stole a 1,100 Watt amplifier, a 500 Watt amplifier, two 12-inch speakers, a steel cap noise eliminator and compact discs, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office report.

Damaged sign

A lighted sign near Whitetail Landing on U.S. 117 South was damaged sometime between midnight and 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Nanette Lang told Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies that she saw someone in a white Chevrolet truck driving recklessly and believes that driver damaged the sign, which caused an estimated damage of about $1,000.

Damaged car

An unknown object caused about $2,000 in damages to Angela Johnson's 1998 white Mitsubishi Eclipse while the car was parked in a parking lot on the 100 block of Lionel Street. Mrs. Johnson told Goldsboro police officers that the damage occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Friday. The Eclipse was damaged on the driver's side front fender and door.

Assault

A woman possibly in her 20s is wanted in regard to an assault that occurred on the 600 block of North Berkeley Boulevard Friday at about 11 p.m. Kenneth Dupree, 24, of N.C. 111 in Seven Springs said he followed the woman outside of a store that was attempting to shoplift, according to the Goldsboro Police report. When he caught up to the woman, she turned, threw a perfume bottle at his face and ran away, he told officers.

Stolen power saw

Jeff Barnes of Keen Plumbing Co. told Goldsboro Police officers that someone stole a $915 high-speed power saw from the back of his truck while he was in a building on the 1100 block of Eleventh St. on the afternoon of Aug. 1.

Financial fraud

Someone used Sue Jennette's bank account information to withdraw about $3,500 from her account, according to a Goldsboro police report. Mrs. Jennette said she found out about the four separate withdraws when she went to her bank to make a withdrawal at about 11 a.m. Friday. The person made a $1,111, $1,200, $914.59 and $321.06 withdraw from her account, according to the report.
