Michael, 7, and Kelli O'Hora, 6, look over some shoes with their mom, Kathy, as the family gets a headstart on tax-free weekend shopping at JCPenney in Goldsboro. Kelli will enter the first grade this year at Northwest Elementary, while Michael will be in second grade. The O'Hora family is one of many who got an early start on bargain-hunting.
